HAILAKANDI 30th APRIL
On April 29, the police in Panchgram, Hailakandi district, seized two drug traffickers along with around banned YABA tablets worth Rs. 1 Million Indian Rupees.
The Hailakandi police achieved this success by conducting a raid in front of Siddheshwar Shiva Temple. The arrested drug traffickers are identified as Abdur Rouf and Anam Uddin.
According to the information received, the police stopped a vehicle with registration number AS-25P-5846 on the national highway in front of Siddheshwar Shiva Temple and conducted a search.
From the hidden compartment of this vehicle, the police successfully seized 40 packets of Yaba tablets along with cash worth Rs. 80,000 .
During the operation, the two traffickers, Abdur Rouf and Anam Uddin, attempted to flee but the police managed to apprehend them.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police Surjit Chowdhury led this operation. Hailakandi Police claims that the market value of the seized Yaba tablets would be around RS.1 million .
On the other hand, Hailakandi Police also succeeded in apprehending a notorious thief named Sarimul Haque Laskar from Rajshwarpur village yesterday.
The police recovered 200 grams of gold ornaments from Sarimul.
