In a targeted operation, the Assam Rifles Field Intelligence Unit (3 FID, DGARFIU, Silchar), in collaboration with the Cachar police and CRPF B/147 battalion, successfully seized YABA tablets valued at approximately ₹4 crores in Manikpur village, under the jurisdiction of Srikona Police station in Cachar district, Assam, yesterday.
During the joint operation, two drug peddlers, namely Sammim Ahmed (30) and Samsuddion Barbhiya (31), were apprehended with 2000 banned YABA tablets.
The market value of the seized YABA tablets is estimated to be around ₹4 crores, as reported by police sources.
Additionally, a Pulser Bike (AS11A-1790) and two Android mobile sets were confiscated during the operation.
