The Lala Police achieved great success in the anti-drug campaign, yesterday. Police able to apprehend a mother and son involved in drug activities from their residence on Central Road in Lala town of Hailakandi District.
The individuals arrested by the Lala Police in connection with drug trafficking are Nanda Dey (25) and Chama Dey (40), who were booked under an NDPS case and remanded into custody.
On Saturday afternoon, the police conducted a raid at their home as part of the operation, seizing 1.54 grams of heroin, 26 syringes, and cash amounting to 9,100 rupees.
The seized items were brought to the Lala Police Station. The operation was led by DSP Surajit Choudhury alone with other official of Lala police station.
