“Glory in Taekwondo: Hailakandi Shines Bright at the National Championships”

Two superstars from Hailakandi brightened the district’s name in the 37th National Sub-Junior Taekwondo Championship held in Roypur, Chhattisgarh from February 2nd to 4th.

Lwangle Singha won the bronze medal in the individual category, and Supali Chanda won the silver medal in the individual Poomsae category, representing Assam in that national championship.

Gautam Roy, the President of Hailakandi District Sports Association, congratulated both the medal winners and appreciated the work of the Hailakandi District Taekwondo Association for their training and dedication to preparing such winners for the district.

On the other hand, Manajit Das, President of Hailakandi District Taekwondo Association, announced prize money for the medal winners in the 37th Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championship.

Notably, five players from Hailakandi secured a place in the Assam team that represented in the Sub-Junior National Taekwondo Championship in Roypur.”
