The all-out crackdown against narcotic drugs continues in Assam.
Today, an anti-drug team, consisting of Cachar police and Assam Rifles Field Intelligence Unit (3FID DGARFIU), conducted an operation in Pailapoll area under Lakhipur Police station and seized 22.69 grams of suspected heroin.
Four drug peddlers were apprehended in this operation: Abdul Mannan (31), Tazeem Uddin (29), Abdul Munim Laskar (49), and Emraan Hussain Tapadar (24). All the arrested persons hail from Katigora and Kalain areas of Cachar district.
According to police sources, the suspected heroin was found stored in two soap boxes inside a green-coloured carry bag.
The police are intensifying their inquiry to unearth details about this drug dealing.
