Today, the Hailakandi District Administration has made two significant announcements regarding the commencement of the Kendriya Vidyalaya (Central School) curriculum in Hailakandi .
Hailakandi District Magistrate Nisarg Hivare informed journalists today that the curriculum of the Central School will temporarily commence from April 1 of the current year at the hostel of Indira Kumari Girls’ Higher Secondary School located in Hailakandi town ward no-12.
The Central School organization has already been informed about this by the administration.
On the other hand, today, the principal of Indira Kumari Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Deepak Chakraborty, has given a notice to vacate the school hostel.
It is noteworthy that Principal Chakraborty has been residing with his family in the girls’ hostel for the past few years. After the publication of the news in the newspaper, the Hailakandi district administration investigated the matter on January 1.
Today, the Additional District Commissioner of the education department, Tridib Roy, directed Deepak Chakraborty, the principal of Indira Kumari Girls’ Higher Secondary School, to vacate the hostel by the next February 6.
Additionally, the Education Department has issued a show cause notice against Principal Chakraborty for violating government guidelines by residing with family members in the girls’ hostel.
In the letter provided to the principal, the additional district magistrate, Tridib Ray, has mentioned that the education department has made decision to take the Indira Kumari Girls’ Higher Secondary School’s hostel to temporarily start the Central School curriculum in Hailakandi.
It is worth mentioning here that the Hailakandi District Administration has allotted 15 Bighas of land in Itorkandi Village to start a new Central School in Hailakandi District.
However, before the construction begins, the Hailakandi district administration has decided to commence the classes of the Central School temporarily in Indrakumari Girls’ Hostel from the current academic year
Now, the principal has been directed to vacate the hostel rooms, and the administration has made the decision to start the Central School curriculum temporarily in 16 rooms of the Minority Girls’ Hostel of the Indira Kumari Girls’ Higher Secondary School.
On the other hand, In this regard ,an assistant commissioner from the Central School organization will visit Hailakandi on February 8.
He will inspect the temporary venue (Minority Girls’ Hostel) of the Central School and investigate all available facilities.
