The Hailakandi Police have launched an all out investigation into the sensational murder case that occurred under Bilaipur Police Station on 8th Dec.
The main suspect in the murder, Milan Das, has reportedly confessed to the crime, taking responsibility for the murder, according to police sources.
In the initial stages, despite trying to distance himself from the murder case, Milan has admitted to killing Anubala Roy, a 53-year-old widow, using a sickle.
However, the question remains: why did Auto driver Milan commit the murder of Anubala Ray in the village of Robinala? According to police information, behind this murder case (FIR 108/23) at Bilaipur Police Station, there is also an illicit love story.
Anubala Ray’s teenage daughter had developed a relationship with Milan, a married man. Anubala opposed this deep relationship between Milan and her daughter. Despite her efforts, Anubala could not accept this “illicit relationship.”
Therefore, on the evening of December 8, Milan entered the house with the intention of discussing and seeking approval for the relationship from Anubala. However, their conversation escalated, and suddenly, in a fit of rage, Milan allegedly strangled Anubala to death with a sickle.
The police have conducted a crime reconstruction at Anubala’s residence, where the murder was reportedly happened. In addition, some mysterious aspects related to the actions of Anubala’s teenage daughter have also come to light during the investigation.
The police are trying to understand why Anubala’s daughter did not make any effort to save her mother. Furthermore, if Milan had indeed made Anubala’s daughter drink poison, how was the quantity of poison so minimal? The police are actively seeking answers to these questions.
On the other hand, after admitting to the crime, Milan Das was presented in court today. The court has directed him to be held in judicial custody for the next 14 days.
It is worth mentioning that a team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is collecting scientific evidence related to this murder case in Hailakandi. The police have already completed the crime scene recreation process involving the accused. The Bilaipur Police will soon submit the charge sheet in court, the source added.
The Hailakandi Police have charged Milan under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 441/302/328/307/376.
